Six Steps of a Neck Lift Procedure - Hughes Center Blog
Whether aging is caused by “tech-neck” or basking in the sun, neck lifts may be the way to help improve and restore a more youthful look. Here are six steps of a neck lift procedure:
Consultation: Decide on your list of questions to ask the cosmetic surgeons about neck lifts at The Hughes Center Cosmetic Surgery Center and Medical Spa. It may be helpful to decide what’s most important for you with the process and ask away.
Preparation: By talking with the cosmetic surgeons, it’ll be clear which procedure will be best for you. It could be liposuction, an isolated neck lift, mini-incision face lift, extended lower face lift or a combination of other procedures. Every body is different, which includes the neck region.
Procedure: An isolated neck lift is the next step up from liposuction, which is usually for the under 40 crowd. The procedure may also be combined with a chin fat transfer or chin implant to make for more refined definition along the chin and neck line.
Anesthesia: If a neck lift is chosen, you may expect local anesthesia with less scarring, numbness and hair loss than a full facelift.
The incisions: A neck lift at The Hughes Center in Philadelphia and New Jersey involves three one-inch incisions thoughtfully hidden behind each ear crease and under the chin where there are already natural wrinkles.
Results: After one to three weeks post-procedure, swelling and bruising should make way to a more youthful neck area.
